The blues form is ubiquitous in jazz, rhythm and blues, and rock and roll and is the foundation for learning to jam! Join Ian Trusheim for Open Blues Jam to learn traditional rhythm section responsibilities and learn to improvise and play solos using the basic 12-bar blues form.

The 12-bar blues is an easily repeatable formula that can be applied to any key in music as a foundation for improvising and playing solos. Beginners never fear - the entire evening is guided by a Stages instructor who will teach you how to participate in a way that is easy and accessible!
