 Enhanced Security Measures at Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) Athletic Events

As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and visitors, we are excited to announce the implementation of the Open Gate security system at all BCPS athletic events. In addition to our bag policy, this advanced system is designed to enhance our current security measures and provide an additional layer of protection for all attendees.

The Open Gate system is a touchless security screening technology that quickly and efficiently screens individuals as they enter our facilities. This system allows for a smoother and faster entry process while maintaining the highest standards of safety.

What to Expect:

• Efficient Screening: The Open Gate system allows for quick, non-intrusive security checks, minimizing wait times.
• Enhanced Safety: This technology adds an extra level of security, helping to ensure a safe environment for all attendees.
• Simple Process: Upon arrival, simply walk through the Open Gate as directed by event staff. The system will screen for any prohibited items, allowing us to address potential concerns promptly.

We ask for your cooperation and understanding as we implement this new security measure, to create a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Our goal is to begin implementation of this system on October 4, 2024.
