Shooting Investigation Underway
Towson, MD (September 13, 2024) - Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting that occurred on September 13, 2024.
This incident happened in Rodger's Forge, Towson, a residential, family friendly area usually considered safe. Johnny "O" (Baltimore County Executive) made a statement:
"I am outraged by this senseless, cowardly and shocking act of gun violence. Our thoughts are with the victim and his loved ones, and we pray for a full and quick recovery.
Police presence has been increased in the Rodgers Forge area and Baltimore County Police will work tirelessly to find and arrest these suspects, who I expect to also be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
Just after 11:30 a.m., officers assigned to the Towson Precinct responded to the 400 block of Dunkirk Rd., 21212, in reference to a reported shooting. Once officers arrived on the scene, they located a 50-year-old adult male with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
As detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit continue to investigate this shooting, they are asking anyone with information about this case to contact 410-307-2020.
