Mustangs Secure No. 2 Playoff Spot in MAC Championship

The Mustangs have officially clinched the No. 2 seed and hosting rights for the 2025 MAC Championship semifinal game.

With the MAC becoming AQ eligible, the conference structure required teams to face each opponent three times and the Mustangs finished with a 13-6-2 record in conference play. Their performance included two regulation wins and a shootout victory over Misericordia's inaugural program, along with a full sweep of Lebanon Valley. Another key victory came on February 1st against Wilkes, the top-seeded team in the conference.

Offensively, the Mustangs are led by senior Liam McCanney, who tops the team with 27 points, and junior Blake Benson, who has 23 points, both playing key roles in the team's scoring success. On the defensive end, Jack Karlsson has contributed 18 points, providing offensive support from the blue line while maintaining a strong presence in the defensive zone.

The Mustangs will host third-seeded Neumann in the MAC Championship semifinal at Reisterstown Sportsplex on March 1st at 3 p.m.

They have been dominant on home ice this season, boasting a 10-1-1 record.
