Here's a look at each inductee:
ASHLEY ADAMS WHITE – Track (2009-11) – A record-setting performer for the Tigers after transferring from Morgan State, Ashley had an immediate impact on the track program. She broke seven school records (3 outdoors, 4 indoors) and was a member of the Tigers' record-setting 4x100 relay team as a junior. She became the first Tiger to be named CAA Female Athlete of the Year in track and field after recording the top marks of any 2011 CAA athlete in the 100 hurdles (13.55), 400 hurdles (59.60) and the heptathlon with 4,910 points which remains a program record. She broke the conference meet record in the 100 hurdles (13.66) and was just .04 seconds shy of the record in the 400 hurdles. She qualified for the NCAA Regionals in both events. In her senior year she ran away with the coveted pentathlon title symbolic of the Eastern College Athletic Conference's best all-around female indoor track athlete, compiling a school record 3,858 points to become the first Tiger to capture the honor. Her pentathlon record is still the program's best. Ashley remains the top hurdler of all-time at Towson with her 8.43 for the 60 meter indoors and her 13.48 for the 100 meter outdoors. She still holds the school record in the indoor long jump at 5.93m and ranks among Towson's top 10 in the 800m run (7th), 400m hurdles (3rd) and the outdoor long jump (3rd). Ashley served as a Tiger assistant coach while completing her degree. She is currently the owner and CEO of A Plus Professional Services in Plainsboro, N.J.
SHANAE BAKER-BRICE – Basketball (2006-10) – Towson's all-time leading scorer for women's basketball with 1,806 points, Shanae averaged 14.9 points per game over her career. A four-year starter, Shanae also holds career program records for field goals made (635), field goals attempted (1,636), free throws made (443) and free throws attempted (630) and ranks second in steals (292) and third in assists (465). She was a two-time first team All-CAA selection and a third team pick once. In her freshman year she was named to the CAA's All-Rookie team while being selected Rookie of the Week four times. Shanae earned CAA Player of the Week five times during her career. In her junior year she was also selected to the league's All-Defensive Team. She led the Tigers to their first 20-win season when Towson posted a 22-10 mark in 2007-08. In 2009 the Tigers picked up a signature win with a 67-55 victory over 25th-ranked Maryland led by Shanae's game high 25 points. It remains Towson's only win over a nationally ranked opponent in women's basketball. After graduation Shanae enjoyed a two-year professional career overseas, playing for Edremit, Turkey as well as Njardvik in Iceland. She led Njardvik to its first championship in franchise history with 36 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists in the title game to grab Powerade Cup MVP honors. She eventually returned to Towson to serve as director of women's basketball operations for 2013-14.
CHRISTINA BOARMAN – Field Hockey (2006-09) A four-year starter at forward Christina finished her career at Towson as the Tigers' all-time leader in goals (46), assists (36) and points (128). She led Towson in goals, assists and points for three straight seasons when she was named All-CAA first team twice and second team once after being picked to the league's All-Rookie team as a freshman. Christina continues to hold single season records for most goals scored (20) and most points (55). She was recognized as a CAA Preseason Team selection three consecutive years. In 2008 she was selected to the Mid-Atlantic All-Regional first team. She was a four-time member of the NFHCA National Academic Team. She has coached for the Warhawks Field Hockey Club. She is currently employed by CrossFit, LLC.
ROGER DICKENS – Basketball (1976-78) - Roger did not play high school basketball. He transferred to Towson from the Community College of Baltimore, becoming an instant starter at point guard for coach Vince Angotti. He was a major factor in helping the Tigers to a combined 53-7 record and consecutive appearances in the NCAA Division II Tournament. He became the first (and currently one of only four including Gary Neal 1,254, Jerrelle Benimon 1,203 and Terrance Jacobs 1,170) to score 1,000 points in just two years, finishing with 1,057 points for a 17.6 career scoring average. Towson's 1978 Male Athlete of the Year and two-time All Mason-Dixon Conference first team selection, Roger still holds the program's single season assist record with 152. He remains ranked among the Tigers' top 10 in career scoring average (8th - 17.2), free throw percentage (8th - .792), assists (9th – 299) and steals (9th – 155). His 10 steals in one game are still second best. The Mason-Dixon Conference Tournament MVP in 1978 and a third team Division II All-American, Roger was a 5th round draft choice of the Washington Bullets. From 1982-2007 Roger coached the men's basketball team at CCB, winning a conference title and a Maryland JUCO championship. His 1997-98 team won the MDJUCO and Region XX titles, finishing 5th in the nation. In 2007 Roger was inducted into the CCB Hall of Fame. Involved in the community, he founded Peace in the Streets, an initiative aimed at fostering community unity through basketball. She helped the Tigers to four straight ECAC titles and a USA Gymnastics National Championship in 2007. Decelia was the 2007 ECAC all-around champion. She earned All-ECAC first team honors in every event during her career. She qualified for the NCAA Southeast Regionals twice. Currently employed as a treasury analyst for Miltenyi Biotec.
TEAM OF DISTINCTION: 2010-11 Women's Swimming – Towson finished the 2010-11 season with a 14-1 record, compiling the program's most victories in a single season. The Tigers also claimed the CAA championship for a fourth straight time. The team was ranked No. 1 among Mid-Major Division I schools. Four swimmers – Meredith Budner, Brooke Golden, Kayla Zeller and Cari Czarnecki – qualified for the NCAA Championships, eventually finishing 21st overall. Budner was named CAA Swimmer of the Year and Kaitlin Burke was honored as Rookie Swimmer of the Year. Golden was selected as the recipient of the CAA's Scholar-Athlete award for women's swimming.
