Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti gave his end of the year report today. With his fingers tapping an imaginary piano, he tried to find the right chords. Eric DeCosta, the GM, was equally nervous with clenched arms and tight lips throughout.
Here are some of his comments:
--Grades Eric DeCosta as "batting .800"
--Asked fans to trust his instincts on the firing
--he wants to win 2 superbowls in the next 10 years, sell the team when he is 75
--he does not want to pass down the franchise because it may cause family rifts
--he will fly Lamar in on his private jet for final interviews, Lamar agreed
--he is willing to hire a coach with a losing record (Kevin Stefanski?)
--Bisciotti declared he and DaCosta are not "lifers"
--he gives the new coaching hire 6 years to win a superbowl but would like it sooner
DeCosta had no answers about Nnamdi Madubuike. It was all a mystery.
