Schlitz beer, once known as “The Beer That Made Milwaukee Famous,” is officially being discontinued after 177 years in production. Parent company Pabst Brewing Company confirmed that the brand is being placed “on hiatus” due to rising storage and shipping costs, with the final batch scheduled to be brewed on May 23.
