Summer adventures don't have to be far from home at St. Paul's school.

With Hiking Our Hometown, a brand-new St. Paul’s specialty summer camp, rising fifth through eighth graders hit local trails and neighborhoods, building outdoor skills, environmental awareness, and teamwork through guided hikes and hands-on exploration.

They scaled King and Queen Seat at Rock State Park in Harford County and explored Cascade Falls at Patapsco Valley State Park in Howard County. Hikers ended their week at the Chesapeake and Ohio Trail in Montgomery County where why got to see the Great Falls.

During the week, campers logged nearly 20 miles across diverse terrain, swam in rivers, picnicked near waterfalls, and built a bond that will lead to hiking explorations in the future.
