DULANEY CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Much continues to change since our last update from three months ago. The locker rooms have exterior and interior walls and poured floors and the ground floor of the main building shows foundations and awaits more concrete.

Rumor has it that much of the steel framework will start shortly. Check out the bird’s eye views—can you find the blue painted “Rocks” (that will be along the front of the new school), the water tower (can we paint “Dulaney” on that?) and the blue of Loch Raven Reservoir in the background?

Check out Principal Wynkoop and members of the Instructional Leadership Team surveying the construction after team meetings over a recent two days.

Purpose and Background:

Dulaney high school was constructed in 1964 on its 42.75 acre site located at 255 East Padonia Road in Timonium, Maryland. Two (2) additions were added in 1971 and in 1999.

The replacement school will provide a state-of-the-art, 21st century 9-12 educational facility with adequate parking, a bus loop, student drop-off/pick-up zones, athletic courts and athletic fields. The proposed design will increase the state rated capacity (SRC) of the school from 1,930 to 2,019.
