What an incredible night at the Carroll County 4-H & FFA Fair Cake Auction.

Congratulations to Herbert Martin, whose Grand Champion Baked Item sold for an amazing $15,000!  Ten-year-old Herbie Martin IV stayed up until 2 a.m., perfecting his lemon blueberry buttercream cake. On Wednesday night, it sold for $15,000 — the top bid at the Carroll County 4-H and FFA Fair‘s charity cake auction, which raised more than $100,000 this year.

The night's take from the bake sale made a GRAND TOTAL of $113,625. We are truly overwhelmed by the incredible support from our community. Your generosity helps make the Carroll County 4-H & FFA Fair a success and supports the youth who work so hard throughout the year.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who baked, bid, donated, and cheered on our exhibitors. A big THANK YOU to our Auctioneers who volunteered their time to make our sale successful. We also want to thank our incredible Cake Auction Committee that is made up of 4-H alumni who is giving back to a program that made a huge impact on their lives. What an unforgettable evening!
