Mysterious remains found in NC 49 years ago identified as missing Maryland girl

Human remains found 49 years ago in a patch of North Carolina woods have been identified as belonging to a missing girl from Maryland.

A cold case team led by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation has put a name to the skeletal remains found near a Firestone tire plant in Wilson in 1977.
