This year’s event will explore the sounds of the season and how music, songs, and storytelling shaped the holiday traditions of all those who lived and worked at Hampton from 1783 through 1948.

Schedule

Visitor Center and Gift Shop
9:00 a.m.—8:00 p.m. Visitor Center is open for holiday shopping and visitor information.

Mansion Open House
Explore the mansion at your leisure during our day and evening open house events. Park Rangers and volunteers will share stories of Hampton Hall and throughout the day we will feature musical performances by ConneXions Academy choir and the 42nd Street Singers highlighting songs of the festive season!

Daytime 10:00 a.m.—5:00 p.m. (last daytime entry at 4:30)
- Music by ConneXions Academy 1:00 p.m.—4:00 p.m.
Evening 6:00 p.m.—7:30 p.m.
- Music by 42nd Street Singers

Hampton Farm Activities

11:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m. Explore the historic farm buildings and exhibits
12:00 p.m. African American Storytelling and Music with Griots' Circle of Maryland, Inc
1:00 p.m. African American Storytelling and Music with Griots' Circle of Maryland, Inc
2:00 p.m.—4:00 p.m. Free 19th-century silhouettes by Silhouettes by Hand (first come, first served)

Orangery Activities
10:00 a.m.— 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.— 8:00 p.m.

Parking

Parking is free. Limited parking is available at Hampton National Historic Site.
A free shuttle service is available for the event from 10:00 a.m. — 8:30 p.m. from the parking lot at Towson United Methodist Church (501 Hampton Lane) to Hampton NHS. The shuttle will stop at both the mansion and farmhouse, along with the church parking lot.

Accessibility

The Mansion is ADA accessible. The free shuttle service is NOT accessible with chair lifts. However, ADA accessible parking will be available at the mansion upper lot, visitor center parking area, and behind the mule barn on the farm side.

Want to Avoid Crowds?

The mansion will be decorated from Thursday December 7, 2023 — Sunday, January 7, 2024. The mansion is available for scheduled public tours Thursdays through Sundays during that time.
