YouTube Vs. Radio Pt. 2:

Part 2: YouTube Vs. Radio: Flock Therapy

Your Guy Noah is at the barstool next to you, in the Ray Lewis jersey. Maybe it's Pop's Tavern, Padonia Station, or The Dundalk Moose, all remants  of the past, like he is--a modern day Scott Garceau, but more blue collar, less mid-western nasal.

Noah Hose hosts For The Flock on YouTube--a Maryland native, USMC Veteran, "dedicated to delivering high-quality content to the Ravens Flock".  He does just that. He is a husband, father of 3 small Ravenettes, and proud follower of Christ.

His mission: "to promote a culture of love and positivity through the sport of football." He is old school for the new Ravens generations. He speaks simply, knowledgeably. His tone is never negative, always upbeat.  Positive energy is important to him and his flock. He spins the bad (injuries, poor coaching, game collapses, ...) into positive learning opportunities.  He is a true homer.

"Your guy" makes great use of game stats and provides unique insights with them that you cannot find elsewhere. He speaks in bests, potentiality, and platitudes never getting you down. He could be as good an on-field cheerleader as he is off-field.  He has a knack for strategies, film study and comparisons that others do not proffer about our home team and their opponents. His game previews include observations as if he was in The Castle. He offers tendencies that maybe were not even considered there.

He should be hired by the Ravens broadcast crew. He is likable, and will buy you drinks all nite. He doesn't beg for likes, sponsors, or subscriptions.  He is the kind who will pick up your tab without you asking.--the most likable of Ravens YouTubers.

Lately he has gained many more followers from his early days this season, as a newcomer and starting quite rusty.  Though out of a basement, from nowhere, to anywhere is already a success. Most recently he has had guests like Qadry Ismail and has done more videos each day and more in-depth analysis. He has built all season from just a few hundred to over 36K subscribers.

All of these YouTubers also use Patreon, which is the main source of revenue to keep them alive. Again, local advertisers and sponsors are hard to find in local media, be it YouTube or niche news sites. But Noah does not hustle for the money, he is just fine with what comes along and keeping you in touch with his Top 5 news items daily and a reassuring, brotherly approach. His therapy is always in the vein of a Dr. Feelgood purple haze, soothing until the next game, or  God forbid, season.
