SELINSGROVE, Pa. - The Goucher College men's tennis team finished its Landmark Conference schedule undefeated and claimed the outright conference regular season title with an 8-1 win at Susquehanna University Thursday afternoon at the Garrett Complex Tennis Courts.
- The Gophers (12-8, 9-0 Landmark) swept all three doubles matches from the River Hawks (5-10, 2-7).
- Angel Cerpa and Benedikt Rummel were 8-2 winners at No. 1, while Unai Laguardia Alvarez and Manny Vidal posted a 8-3 win at No. 2.
- George King and Ethan Katz prevailed 8-1 at No. 3.
- Laguardia Alvarez blanked his opponent at No. 1 6-0, 6-0.
- Cerpa was a 6-0, 6-3 winner at No. 2.
- Rummel needed a third set to extend his win streak at No. 3, prevailing 7-5, 4-6, 10-7.
- King won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4, while Katz posted a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at No. 5.
- Goucher has won five in a row and eight of its last nine.
- The Gophers completed Landmark play unbeaten for the first time since 2019 and the fourth time in program history, with the others coming in 2016 and 2018.
