Former Employees Accuse Hunt Valley Staffing Agency Of Wage Theft: Lawsuit
The lawsuit filed in Baltimore County court accuses the agency of violating Maryland's wage payment law, a report said.
A group of former employees at a Baltimore County staffing agency have filed a lawsuit against the company accusing their former employer of wage theft, according to court documents obtained by the Baltimore Sun.
The lawsuit filed Tuesday claims that Mary Kraft and Associates Inc., its president and its New York-based parent company violated Maryland’s wage payment and collection law by not paying employees thousands of dollars in promised monthly sales incentives, the Sun reported.
The lawsuit also accuses the staffing agency of wrongfully terminating a worker after they complained about the unpaid wages, the report said.
The plaintiffs are seeking monetary damages as well as compensatory and punitive damages for the wrongful termination claim.
