Fogo de Chão’s Towson opening date announced
TOWSON, MD—An opening date has been announced for Fogo de Chão’s newest location in Towson.
The new restaurant, which will be located at Towson Town Center, is set to open on September 2, 2024.
The restaurant features an open churrasco grill where guests can dine and watch gaucho chefs demonstrate the culinary art of churrasco as they butcher, prepare, and grill different cuts of meat over an open flame.
The Towson location features an outdoor patio, soaring wine displays, dry-aged meat lockers for in-house aging, and a lively indoor bar, ideal for all-day happy hour.
This will be the fourth Fogo de Chão in Maryland and the first in Baltimore County. The other Maryland locations are in Baltimore, North Bethesda and National Harbor.
“We are thrilled to continue to bring our passion for providing Brazilian hospitality and unforgettable dining experiences to the Baltimore area,” Fogo de Chão CEO Barry McGowan said in a press release. “We look forward to welcoming the Towson community to our newest restaurant, showcasing our latest brand innovations and culinary discoveries for new and existing guests alike.”
One of the highlights will be the dry-aged meat lockers. These will age cuts like the 32 oz. Long-Bone Tomahawk Ribeye, which is aged for a minimum of 42 days.
Customers can eat at a churrasco grill while watching chefs butcher, prepare and grill over an open flame.
The restaurant will also feature a market table with seasonal salads, fresh superfoods, cured meats, antipasti and more.
A dining room and a bar, dubbed Bar Fogo, round out the offerings.
Fogo de Chão was founded in Southern Brazil in 1979.
