O's postseason issues persist as season abruptly ends

 The reasons to believe the 2024 Orioles -- despite all of their injuries, their second-half struggles and their inconsistency -- could make a deep postseason run were aplenty.

They were “battle tested,” as various players repeatedly stated in recent weeks. Their young stars now had October experience. Nobody wanted to again feel the pain they felt in 2023, when Baltimore surprisingly got swept out of the American League Division Series by Texas.
