The Arc Celebrates

The Arc Baltimore proudly attended the Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities Awards Luncheon to celebrate two exceptional awardees connected to our organization. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Royal Farms, honored as Employer of the Year, and to Hannah Mitchell, recognized as Student of the Year.

For nearly 74 years, we’ve been a lifeline for thousands of Baltimore families, providing hope when the future feels uncertain for their loved ones with disabilities. As children grow into young adults, their needs evolve. The Arc Baltimore is there every step of the way, offering educational resources and guiding them through their transition into the workforce.

The Arc Maryland selected us to present our proposal, “Baltimore: The City of Accessible Arts,” at their SpArc-Tank Ig-Nite event. This exciting initiative is a collaboration with volunteer George Ciscle, Maryland Institute College of Art Curator-in-Residence Emeritus and longtime champion of Art in the Round, and Pat Halle, a retired paralegal from Disability Rights Maryland

On November 20, we were honored to be one of four finalists participating in a “shark tank”-style competition before a panel of judges and a live audience. We’re thrilled to announce that we were awarded $7,000 to bring this innovative project to life.
