WOMAN OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN

Each year the Baltimore County Commission for Women accepts nominations for its annual "Woman of the Year," "Young Woman of the Year", "Woman Making a Difference", and “Woman Entrepreneur of the Year” awards.

This is the commission’s 43rd year honoring women for their outstanding contributions to the community. The award honors female residents of Baltimore County who:

1. Have made significant, unique and lasting contributions within the community, workplace or school to champion the interests and needs of women and families

2. Recognizes the outstanding achievements of a woman entrepreneur who has made a significant impact on her industry and the Baltimore County community

3. Serve as role models of inspiration and achievement for other women

4. Enhance the lives of the residents of Baltimore County

Nominees must reside in Baltimore County for a minimum of three years. Previous winners and elected officials are not eligible to be nominated. Nominees for "Young Woman of the Year" must be a high school senior attending a Baltimore County school who is a proven leader and has made an extraordinary impact on her school and community through volunteering.

“Woman Entrepreneur of the Year” must be owner and executive responsible for day to day operations and in business operational for five years.One woman—including college students—among the nominees who have made a powerful impact on the community through volunteer efforts will be recognized as "Woman Making a Difference."

Winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony in early summer.
