      How It Happened:

      • Early on, Towson peppered the goal, being stopped several times by Brendan Donnelly. Towson's kept control with the 10-man ride as Drexel shot long range at goal, missing twice. Ronan Fitzpatrick broke the early deadlock by emerging from around the cage and scoring on the bouncer close range four minutes in.
      • Drexel's aggressive defense led to the Dragons scoring twice in a span of just over two minutes. Towson tied the game on a second chance as Mikey Weisshaar hit a running shot under the crossbar to make it 2-2 with 6:55 left in the first.
      • As Drexel looked to clear the ball, Towson's ride pressured the Dragons to a bad pass. The ball was deflected off Drexel's pass off another Dragon and into the goal for a 3-2 Towson lead. Minutes later after a Towson timeout, the Tigers added two more on a catch and shoot by Josh Webber and another score on the doorstep for Fitzpatrick to give Towson a 5-2 lead after one.
      • Towson forced a couple of turnovers from Joe Petro and Josh Webber to keep the lead. After another forced turnover by Joe'll Spagnuolo, Fitzpatrick scored again the other way to complete a 5-0 run and give Towson a 6-2 lead with 10:53 to go in the second.
      • Conor Hooley scored just under two minutes later to stop Towson's run. Following another caused turnover, this one by Conor Spagnolli, Chop Gallagher swam through two defenders and scored close range to repair Towson's lead to four at 7-3.
      • Into the third, the sloppy play by both sides continued as Towson continued to pressure the Dragons. Drexel countered as Max Semple scored twice in a span of two minutes to pull within two. Drawing a penalty, Weisshaar found Gallagher open on the doorstep for the extra man goal and an 8-5 Towson lead.
      • Luke Downs turned away two Drexel shots during a long stretch without any goals. Semple added another on a one-on-one with the goalie with 2:29 left in the period as Towson had an 8-6 advantage after three.
      • Hooley scored on Drexel's first possession of the fourth quarter. Towson grabbed the goal back on a man-up situation next chance as Ryan Schrier scored on a bouncer from Weisshaar. The back-and-forth continued as Drexel scored again, then Towson scored twice, a dodge and dunk from Fitzpatrick and a man-up goal from Michael Katz as Towson led 11-8 with nine minutes to play.
      • Towson's defense continued to hold as the Tigers started to stall the clock. Down to 5:14 left, Towson added two more goals, another laser from Weisshaar and a catch and shoot goal for Fitzpatrick. Towson had a 13-8 lead with 4:23 left.
