The annual BCPS Film Expo challenges middle and high school students to create films on their topics of interest. The work of finalists in the BCPS Film Expo will be shown on Thursday, May 15, at The Senator Theatre, 5904 York Rd., Baltimore 21212. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
The program begins at 7 p.m. This program is free and family-friendly. No tickets are required.
Following the main show, awards will be presented to the finalists and audience members will be able to ask questions of the student filmmakers. Film categories include documentary, short-form, animation, experimental, promotional, and live-action narrative.
Pine Grove Middle and Pikesville High students win BCPS Film Expo Poster Contest. Makayla Kent, a student at Pine Grove Middle School, and Sarah Glazer, a student at Pikesville High School, have been named the winners of the 2025 Baltimore County Public Schools Film Expo Poster Contest.
This year, BCPS students and staff could cast votes to select the winning posters. More than 400 votes were cast for the 15 finalist poster designs. The finalist posters were chosen by the Film Expo Committee from among more than 100 submitted designs.
The winning posters designed by Kent and Glazer will be used to promote the Film Expo, and the student artists will receive printed copies of their posters. More info here.
