Adventure Park Opens Featuring Airsoft, Paintball, Nerf Games, Laser Tag

Entrepreneur Matthew Gabriel will host a soft grand opening this weekend for Robinhood Adventure Park featuring a variety of games.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — After months of hard work behind the scene, the former Robinhood Paintball facility will reopen this weekend as the newly improved and renamed Robinhood Adventure Park.

A soft grand opening for Airsoft sessions will be held Saturday and paintball will be Sunday, both from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Interested parties need to pre-register online for opening weekend and rental equipment will be available. Scheduling is happening now for private group rentals for Airsoft, paintball, low impact paintball, gel blasters, laser tag and Nerf sessions.

Robinhood Adventure Park covers 10 acres and includes multiple fields designed for the different modes of play. There's one field dedicated to Airsoft only and for larger scale battles, there's an additional 35 acres of open woods for immersive Airsoft ops. All games are supervised by trained referees.

Matthew Gabriel, East Coast Airsoft owner, told Patch that he launched his business in 2008 as a retail store focused on airsoft equipment, gear and tactical supplies. The outdoor expansion of the business, Robinhood Adventure Park, is an extension of that business.

"I'm a lifelong airsoft enthusiast and entrepreneur who has been active in the industry since 2007. We have a wonderful staff who are passionate about the sport, and some come from our previous indoor arena, so they have the knowledge and know-how to get things done right," Gabriel told Patch.

Operating a dedicated outdoor field has been a longtime goal of Gabriel's, he said.

"After years of hosting events, sponsoring tournaments and running our retail store, the opportunity to bring everything together into our own full-scale outdoor facility finally became possible. It’s the natural next step in our passion for this sport and the community around it," he told Patch. "Planning and preparation have been underway for over a year, but the groundwork began even earlier with scouting locations and developing the concept. We signed the lease in early March 2025 and have been working tirelessly to prepare the site for opening."

The customers who have reached out to Robinhood Adventure Park, excitedly anticipating its opening, include a range of people, Gabriel said.

"We welcome families celebrating birthdays, groups of friends looking for weekend fun, corporate teams building camaraderie and competitive players seeking structured games. There's something for all ages and experience levels," Gabriel said.

Gabriel also plans to expand the park not long after its opening this month.

"In the near future, we plan to expand our offerings to include water gun battles (perfect for summer), as well as haunted hayride-style zombie shoots using glow-in-the-dark paintballs or gel blasters — combining spooky season fun with thrilling gameplay," Gabriel told Patch. "We’re not just building a field — we’re building a community. Robinhood Adventure Park is designed to be inclusive, family friendly and accessible to players of all skill levels. Whether you're here for casual fun or serious competition, our goal is to create a space where people can connect, challenge themselves and make memories."

Robinhood Adventure Park also will work with schools, teams and organizations for fundraising endeavors.

"Our fundraising packages are extremely flexible and can be tailored to fit almost any goal or group size — whether it’s raising money or just bringing people together," Gabriel said.

Robinhood Adventure Park is located at 2429 Old Robinhood Rd. in Havre de Grace. Walk-on events are held once each weekend, rotating between Airsoft and paintball. They also rotate between Saturdays and Sundays. The East Coast Airsoft retail store is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 130 North Tollgate Rd. in Bel Air.
