2025 ushers in a few NEW updates to some old scenes.

The castle being one of our largest (height wise) undertakings so far. At approximately 3 stories high this imposing facade has a very special door way. Do any of you recognize it? Back in 1980 those very doors and arch appeared on stage touring with Black Sabbath on their Heaven and Hell tour. Ronnies James Dio had replaced the late great Ozzy Osbourne (Dec 3, 1948 - July 22, 2025) as the lead vocalist the year before and this was to be his first live show. Also from the same show are 2 large 6ft tall gargoyles that we have in our graveyard scene, see if you can spot them, look out for their glowing red eyes.

Since 1992, when the Markoff brothers toured DC events & festivals in a Haunted School Bus, our haunt has become a must-go for fright fest lovers.

Creative, dramatic, and – YES -- terrifying -- MHF has built a national reputation for its unique, multi-sensory haunt experience. Music, lighting effects, scents & creepy human interaction set the tone in each of our 3 attractions.

Markoff’s Haunted Forest is a benefit performance for Calleva, a 501c3 organization dedicated to building young leaders through positive outdoor experiences.

Our waiting area is a gloriously creepy carnival where patrons can eat, drink & get in the mood for a wild experience in the woods.

The Haunted Trail

The topography of our mile-long trail sets the stage for a series of terrifying scenes, mysterious glades, and great hiding spots for our crazy ghouls. We don’t recommend the trail for kids under age 12, since each bend in the path is truly frightening!
