The 2025 Team BCPS Golf Classic: A huge success

The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools, Inc., held its 11th Annual Tee Off for Team BCPS Golf Classic at Greystone Golf Course on October 17. It was a beautiful day of giving, golf, and gratitude. The weather was perfect, the participants were excited to enjoy the pristine golf course, and our sponsors were happy to support our mission-driven work. Together we raised more than $100,000 to support the 110,000 students, 10,000 educators, and 174 BCPS school communities. We are grateful to our Education Champions!

Mental health matters!

This year, the golf classic celebrated the incredible work of the mental health professionals who support BCPS community members. All funds raised will go toward the mission-driven work of the foundation and toward supporting the 2026 BCPS Mind Over Matters Mental Health Conference.

Thank you to Greystone Golf Course

Thank you to Golf Pro, Mr. Gary Schmalenberger, Food and Beverage Manager, Ms. Wendy Ayres, Director of Sales, Mr. John Hein, and the entire staff at Greystone Golf Course!

Greystone Golf Course was designed by Joe Lee, architect of Doral Resort’s famed Blue Monster and the courses at Walt Disney World. Greystone Golf Course is a true masterpiece in layout, challenge, and entertainment. This championship course includes 140 feet of elevation changes and features seven ponds and more than 80 bunkers. The tall hardwood trees, wetlands, and native vegetation add an abundance of character to the design.

Why support The Education Foundation?

The Education Foundation of BCPS was founded on October 26, 1992, as the official 501 (c) (3) nonprofit for BCPS.

BCPS is the 22nd largest school system in the nation with 110,000 students and 10,000 educators in 174 schools, centers, and programs. The foundation is on a mission to contribute to a brighter future as a champion of the system and community through advocacy, fundraising, and programming.

Since 2010, the foundation has provided 786 scholarships (worth a total of $746,595) for graduating seniors pursuing post-secondary education and training. Since 2012, the foundation has awarded 735 school and office-based grants (worth a total of $1,434,748) to enhance the regular curricula. And since 2018, the foundation has operated two educator resource centers (the Exchangerees) where teachers shop for school supplies and other resources at no cost to them. The Exchangerees have served 17,784 educators and 462,384 students, distributed 93,235 books, and distributed $4,068,698 worth of resources and materials into our school communities.

We believe that together, with our community partners, we can ensure that every student, educator, and school community have the resources necessary to reach their full potential.
