BARCStoberfest is an annual, large scale, pet-friendly festival and fundraiser that benefits the lifesaving programs and animal care at the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS). The Patterson Park festival includes a 5K Run/1-Mile Walk, Pet Costume Contest, Beer Garden vendors, kids’ activities and more! Fundraising leading up to BARCStoberfest raises critical funding for Maryland’s highest volume, open-admission shelter serving 10,000 animals per year. Our goal this year is $350,000, so please join us to raise funds for animals in need in our community.

5K Run +1M Walk

Run or walk as a team with your four-legged friend, just as yourself or with your fundraising teammates. Participants will receive an ultra-soft T-shirt, doggie bandana and a free beverage in our dog-friendly beer garden. The race is coordinated and run by our expert friends at Charm City Run.

Beer Garden

Drink local craft beers and spirits with your pup by your side while listening to live music and overlooking Baltimore's best view of the city! Get your paw-ty on with an all-inclusive wristband for the beer garden for $30. Seating is in the grass, so bringing your own picnic blanket is encouraged!
