Hello Genesee Valley Friends and Family,

We are still in awe of our 40th Anniversary Celebration weekend that encapsulated our annual Tom LaMonica Memorial 5k Trail Run, Genesee Valley Alumni and Current Staff Reunion along with our Celebratory event! What a weekend! We wanted to recognize our dedicated staff, sponsors, donors and volunteers for making this event a spectacular success.

We had over 130 runners and walkers venture through the hills, around the lakes and cross the finish line! Our alumni staff weekend accompanied approximately 80 Genesee Valley staff from the late 80’ to the present who camped, reminisced around the fire and created new memories all together again at Genesee Valley.

Saturday evening, we celebrated the legacy, tradition and growth of Genesee Valley Outdoor Learning Center over the past 40 years. The two major announcements at the event were the partnerships with Balance Point Wellness for Adventure Therapy programs and The Maryland Port Administration which has selected Genesee Valley as location for a 7-acre wetland restoration project. The future is bright at Genesee Valley and we can’t wait to continue to provide amazing experiences for each individual who steps on site.

To make Genesee Valley accessible for all, we rely on our scholarship fund to reduce financial barriers for qualified summer camp families, Title One schools along with other small non-profit organizations. Our scholarship fund relies on supporters like you to make this possible!
