Baltimore’s Brand-New Way to Celebrate Halloween: Live Theatre in Dundalk
Haunted houses, scary movies, and trick-or-treating are always fun – but starting October 14 this year, Baltimore’s own National Edgar Allan Poe Theatre has a brand-new way to celebrate Halloween that the city has never had before: A LIVE stage show celebrating the works of Edgar Allan Poe, with magic, music and some of the local area’s best actors.
“Edgar Allan Poe’s Blood, Sweat and Fears” will take place at FPX Events in Dundalk, MD (7938 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21224). The show opens October 14 for four consecutive weekends, and closes November 6.
Performance times are:
Fridays at 8 PM,
Saturdays at 2 PM and 8 PM
Sundays at 2 PM
Tickets are $35, with reduced prices for students, seniors and military. They can be purchased online at www.fpxevents.com or www.poetheatre.org.
Three Poe stories will be brought to life on stage: “Berenice,” “The Predicament” and “The Tell-Tale Heart.” The play also includes magic, music and dance to create a family-friendly experience visitors will remember forever.
The National Edgar Allan Poe Theatre has produced over 20 radio-drama adaptations of Poe’s scary stories and poems. They’re being aired on National Public Radio, Amazon Music and are even archived by the Library of Congress. This is the company’s first-ever live stage show.
