Patrick All-StarsCaller: Eamonn De CogainFeaturing: Peter Fitzgerald with special guests!Ceilis (kay’- lees) have a long tradition as a place to gather for fun, fellowship, and lots of dancing.
The Irish carried the tradition of social dances with them as they spread around the world. In the US it was an inspiration for both our line dancing and square dancing and our Festival Ceili will include both styles. Lively ceili music, an experienced, enthusiastic caller, and friendly, seasoned dancers will be there to help you get started.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday night!Éamonn de Cógáin is widely regarded as Ireland’s most energetic MC. He has called céilís far and wide across the Emerald Isle and has developed a reputation as the Ceili King stateside. He is a staple at many of the summer Irish festivals from Minnesota to Mississippi.
Eamonn has taught thousands the basic steps and movements of Irish Ceili Dancing. His smooth brog and easy-going nature allows people of all ages to believe that they can ceili dance the night away without difficulty.Come dance with us!The festival runs November 10-12, 2023 at the Maryland State Fairgrounds Cow Palace in Timonium.
