ANUMGBA’S 25 POINTS LEAD TOWSON WOMEN’S BASKETBALL OVER WILLIAM & MARY

    TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's basketball team welcomed the William & Mary Tribe to TU Arena on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers (10-6, 3-3 CAA) were victorious over the Tribe (8-9, 4-2 CAA) 80-64.

    Patricia Anumgba had a team-high 25 points, going 8-of-11 (72.7%) from the floor. India Johnston finished with 19 points off the bench.

    • The Tigers continued where they left off and opened the second quarter with a 9-2 run to stretch the lead to 12.
    • William & Mary cut the lead down to eight midway through the second quarter.
    • Towson closed out the quarter on a 12-4 run led by Patricia Anumgba's nine points to take a 41-25 edge into the locker room.
    • The third quarter started with the teams trading baskets with the Tribe cutting the deficit to 12.
    • The Tigers responded with a 9-1 run to extend the advantage to 20 with 3:32 remaining in the third.

    • Kayla Morris grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds and had a season-high four blocks.
    • Kylie Kornegay-Lucas totaled a season-high 13 rebounds while adding three assists and three steals.
    • Towson is 8-0 when they finish with more bench points.
