TOWSON GYMNASTICS NAMED 2024 EAGL REGULAR SEASON CHAMPION

    TOWSON, Md. – For the first time in program history the Towson University gymnastics team was crowned the 2024 East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) regular season conference champion, announced by the league on Sunday.

    The conference records for EAGL teams are determined by winning percentage of designated meets. The Tigers were the only team in the league to go undefeated in conference meets, winning all four designated meets against each EAGL team.

    EAGL has crowned a regular season champion for five years and this is the first time in program history that Towson has earned the title.

    The Tigers officially clinched the title on Friday, February 23 when they defeated Temple and LIU with the with their highest team score in program history and the highest score ever recorded in EAGL of 197.425.

    Towson continues the season on March 1 at a tri meet with Penn State and Ball State in State College, Pennsylvania.
