Once Upon A Child, the leading children’s clothing and accessories retail resale concept, announced the grand opening of the brand’s newest location in Timonium, located at 55 E Padonia Rd. The brand is known for its affordable, gently used children’s clothes, shoes, toys, equipment and more, and provides local parents with a place that not only puts cash back into their pockets, but sells gently used brand name clothing and accessories for less.

With a focus on being a sustainable shopping resource for local families, the new Once Upon A Child location in Timonium opens on April 11. After an 18-year career in corporate America, Kristen Suter, shifted her focus to family life. It was during this time that she emerged as a reliable resource among her friends and family for children's needs. This experience ultimately inspired her to open her own Once Upon A Child store, aiming to provide parents in her community with high-quality, sustainable clothing, toys, and accessories for their children. Supporting Kristen in this venture is her husband, JD, who brings his extensive marketing experience to the fore in promoting the store. Additionally, Kristen's brother, Rob Waskiewicz, contributes his many years of retail experience as the new store’s general manager.

“Leaving corporate America to focus on my family was a turning point for me,” shared Kristen Suter. “It opened the door to an opportunity where I can make a meaningful impact on other families. Our store is more than just a business; it’s a community hub where parents can find not only quality items for their kids but also support, advise, and a sense of belonging.”

Once Upon A Child’s unique retail resale concept allows for clothing, toys and accessories for kids to end up in someone else’s house rather than thrown into a landfill, providing a resource for new or existing parents who are looking to update their children’s closet on a budget and in a mindful environmental manner.

In addition, Once Upon A Child ensures that all products purchased and sold meet mandatory and voluntary safety standards. Staff members stay up-to-date on current recalled items, immediately pulling all recalled products from shelves and making sure all items purchased are safety-checked to meet current standards.
