Baltimore County Animal Services Launches "Adoption Express Pit Stops" to Increase Dog Adoptions

– Baltimore County Animal Services (BCAS) – like public shelters nationwide – is experiencing an influx of dogs at its facility. In addition to cats, rabbits, and other furry and scaly pets, BCAS has taken in 1,116 dogs since January.

To help increase adoption numbers, the BCAS team will take its pups to the people as they hit the road with Adoption Express Pit Stops!

WHAT:
BCAS will hold a series of adoption pop-ups at venues across Baltimore County throughout the summer.
During today’s first pop-up event, the Cuddle Shuttle will be in the Halethorpe/Catonsville area from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and all adoption fees will be waived!

WHO:
Eight adoptable – and adorable – dogs
Baltimore County Animal Services team members

WHEN:
TODAY, Friday, May 31 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

WHERE:
3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.: Arbutus Branch of Baltimore County Public Library

Additional stops in between will be determined by public input at baltcoanimalservices on Facebook and Instagram and posted throughout the afternoon.

6 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Catonsville Fire Station (in conjunction with the Frederick Road Fridays summer concert series).
