Ballet Theatre of Maryland Celebrates 20 Years of “The Nutcracker” with Special Holiday Performances
The Ballet Theatre of Maryland (BTM) will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Dianna Cuatto’s production of The Nutcracker this holiday season with performances in Annapolis and Hampstead, Maryland. As Maryland’s premier ballet company, BTM brings to life the enchanting story of Clara’s adventure through the Kingdom of Snow and the Land of the Sweets, with vibrant characters and festive sets that capture the holiday spirit.
BTM will host the first show in Hampstead at Coppermine Pantherplex on Sunday, November 24 at 2 p.m. The Annapolis performances will run from December 14-22 at Maryland Hall. To add to the festivities, a special Sugar Plum Party will be held before every Sunday show in Annapolis, allowing ticket holders to enjoy refreshments, meet the dancers, and take photos with characters from the ballet.
Discounted tickets are available for seniors, military, students, and children, with virtual tickets priced at $36 per household. Tickets are available through balletmaryland.org, Eventbrite.com, and CUR8.com. BTM advises that only these sites are authorized sellers and cautions against purchasing from third-party vendors.
