Maryland college student wins $1 million on Lottery scratch-off

COCKEYSVILLE, MD — A college student from Cockeysville has joined the millionaire’s club after winning $1 million on the Maryland Lottery’s $20 scratch-off game, Millionaire’s Club.

The young player, who started playing the lottery just a few years ago, said he has previously won small amounts, but nothing could have prepared him for this life-changing prize.

Instead of letting the win alter his education plans, the student plans to stay in school while using his newfound wealth to invest in real estate. With guidance from his father, who works in the real estate business, he plans to buy a house and generate passive income to ease financial burdens while completing his degree.

The lucky ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven located at 321 York Road in Towson. The retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The Millionaire’s Club win marks a monumental step for the student, setting him up for a bright financial future while pursuing his academic goals.
