Goucher Athletics To Host Annual NGWSD Free Clinic on February 8th

Goucher Athletics is set to celebrate the 39th Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) on Saturday, February 8, 2025. The event will include a free sports clinic for young female athletes, offering skill and technique instruction from each team involved.

Girls in Kindergarten through 6th grade (K-6) will have the chance to engage in a fun sports clinic alongside Goucher student-athletes and coaches.

Event Schedule:

  • Check-in will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 11:25 a.m. in the lobby of the Decker Sports & Recreation Center.
  • The clinic will start at 11:30 a.m. and conclude at 1:50 p.m. in our Lower Gym.
  • All participants are invited to join us for our home Women's Basketball game, which will tip off at 2:00 p.m. Members of the field hockey team will escort participants to the game, where they will be introduced as a group during the pre-game announcements. Pizza will be provided after the first quarter.

The event is free and open to the public, and participants must register to take part in the clinic. Registration will end on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 11:59 PM.

NGWSD is devoted to recognizing the progress of girls and women in sports and the benefits that sports and fitness activities can bring to the lives of all girls and women. The day is organized nationally by the Women's Sports Foundation.
