BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Independence Day falls on a Friday in 2025, kicking off a star-spangled three-day weekend packed with fireworks, festivals and other Fourth of July fun in and around Baltimore County.

To help you fit it all in on your 4th of July calendar, Patch has put together a guide to what's going on in Baltimore County and the surrounding areas.

July 4 Festivities For 2025

Catonsville

What: Catonsville Fireworks, Family Fun Fest, Parade, Concert, Games, Bike Ride to Fort McHenry
Where: Locations throughout Catonsville
When: Friday, July 4 (Bike Ride at 8 a.m. Games at 9:30 a.m. Concert at 11 a.m. Parade at 3 p.m. Family Fun Fest at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks at 9:15 p.m.) Bike ride and parade are rain or shine. Fireworks rain date is Saturday, July 5.

Cockeysville

What: Star-Spangled Spectacular at Oregon Ridge (Fireworks, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra performance)

Dundalk

What: Dundalk's 4th of July Parade

What: Hereford Independence Day Parade and Fireworks
Where: Parade through downtown Hereford. Fireworks, festival, food, vendors and live music at Hereford High School (17301 York Road)
When: Sunday, June 29 (Parade at 6 p.m. Festival at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks at dusk.)

Middle River

What: Middle River Fireworks Extravaganza (Hosted by the Marine Trades Association of Baltimore County)
Where: In the Middle River at Galloway Point. No public viewing point. Boats and private residences are the only places to watch.
When: Saturday, July 5 at 9:15 p.m. No rain date.

Kingsville

What: Kingsville Independence Day Parade
Where: Bradshaw Road
When: Friday, July 4 (Music starts at 9:30 a.m. Parade at 10:45 a.m.)

What: Kingsville Fireworks
Where: Mount Vista Park (11101 Raphel Road)
When: Saturday, July 5 (Fireworks start at dusk around 9 p.m.)

Parkton

What: Big Truck USA Day (Fireworks, Live Music, Food and Drinks)
Where: Big Truck Farm Brewery (19919 Cameron Mill Road). Tickets available here.
When: Saturday, July 5 from noon to 10 p.m. Rain date is Sunday, July 6.

Towson

What: Towson 4th of July Parade, Bike Rush and Race

When: Friday, July 4. (Four-mile run/walk begins at 8:15 a.m. Bike rush is at 10 a.m. Parade runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)

What: Towson Fireworks
Where: Loch Raven Technical Academy (8101 LaSalle Road)
When: Friday, July 4, starting sometime between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Rain date is Saturday, July 5.

Washington, D.C.

What: National Independence Day Parade
Where: Constitution Avenue
When: Friday, July 4 (11:45 a.m.)

This national parade draws thousands of spectators and features bands, fife and drum corps, floats, military and specialty units, giant balloons, equestrian, drill teams, national dignitaries, celebrity participants and more. The route runs along Constitution Avenue from 7th to 17th Street.

What: A Capitol Fourth Concert
Where: West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol
When: Friday, July 4 (8 p.m.)

This Independence Day concert, a tradition for decades, is broadcast live from the West Lawn of the United States Capitol. The lineup includes the National Symphony Orchestra, military bands and more. It is free and open to the public. Gates will open at 3 p.m. The concert will also be televised on PBS at 8 p.m. Check your local listings for viewing information.

What: Fireworks on the National Mall
Where: National Mall
When: Friday, July 4 (9:09 p.m.)

The National Park Service will host its annual Independence Day fireworks celebration on the National Mall. The display will start at 9:09 p.m.
