From The White House

Cress Onsite was started in 1996 by Gary Cress as an adjunct business to Lydia Cress Fedoruk's Custom Draperies Plus. They were long time advertisers in The Valley Times.

Eventually, Paul Cress came on board in 2013, and in 2023 took over the business and has been the lone owner/operator since. They offer top-notch professional care at affordable pricing for homes and businesses.

They have cleaned every conceivable window dressing (including swags and jabots) , all fabric types over the years. They clean treatments (and upholstery) in residential, country clubs, churches andcatering halls. Their most high profile job was in 2009 when we were invited to clean in the White House in the west wing. That was quite an undertaking, especially considering the tight security and it was just Lydia, Gary and Wesley Cress, (who was helping out at the time).

Cress uses the projection/extraction method and clean them as they hang in your home, office or event space. They use a dry or wet clean solution depending on your fabric, ensuring no shrinkage. We are careful to protect surfaces and items in the space as we move about in the cleaning process.

Cress is certified by an independent training group called Fabricare that is Nationwide and includes Canada. This allows us to be recommended by Hunter Douglas, the world's leader in shades and blinds fabrication. Cress OnSite Drapery & Shade Cleaning, originally known as On Site Drapery and Shade Cleaning, was started by Gary Cress in 1996.

Now over 25 years later, his son, Paul has stepped in and picked up the vacuum hoses. He continues his father's quest to clean all of Maryland's dirty drapes and shades. As a Hunter Douglas recommended cleaner, Cress OnSite Drapery & Shade Cleaning provides great services at affordable prices catering to Greater Baltimore and the Washington, DC areas.

Please call Paul for an estimate and to set up an appointment.
