Baltimore County Executive candidates to face off in public forum at Goucher College

With the June primary elections fast approaching, Baltimore County voters will have a major opportunity to vet the individuals vying to lead the region. The League of Women Voters of Baltimore County, in partnership with Goucher College, has announced a non-partisan candidate forum featuring all seven contenders for Baltimore County Executive.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Goucher College Hyman Forum. Doors open for a 6:00 PM start, with the discussion slated to run until 8:30 PM.

All Primary Candidates Confirmed

In a rare showing of full participation, every candidate appearing on the June primary ballot has confirmed their attendance. The lineup includes a crowded Democratic field and a two-way Republican contest:

Democratic Candidates:

  • Julian Jones
  • Izzy Patoka
  • Mansoor Shams
  • Nick Stewart
  • Pat Young

Republican Candidates:

  • Patrick V. Dyer
  • Kimberley Stansbury

The forum will be moderated by Clarence Mitchell IV, widely known as “C4,” the veteran co-host of The C4 and Bryan Nehman Show on WBAL Radio.

A Platform for “Informed Decision-Making”

The format is designed to go beyond stump speeches. After opening statements, Mitchell will pose a series of moderated questions to the panel. The final portion of the evening will be dedicated to questions submitted directly by audience members.

“This forum is designed to give voters the information they need to make thoughtful choices in the upcoming election,” said Wandra Ashley-Williams, Executive Director of the League of Women Voters of Baltimore County.

League President Ramona Johnson echoed the sentiment, noting that the goal is to ensure residents can “head into the June primary confident and informed” by putting the voters “front and center.”

A Hub for Community Debate

Goucher College, which frequently serves as a civic hub for the Towson area, expressed pride in hosting the event.

“Goucher College is proud to be a private, independent, non-partisan, non-profit institution where honest debate and discussion of the issues… are welcomed on our campus,” said President Kent Devereaux.

Event Details & Attendance

The forum is free and open to the public. No registration is required, though attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure seating and submit their written questions for the candidates at the door.
