The Trifecta Food Truck and Music Festival -- Maryland's largest gathering of food trucks -- returns this year with a musical tribute down memory lane.

The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sept. 24 at the Maryland State Fairgrounds' racetrack infield in Timonium. Tickets are available online for $25. Parking is free, and so is admission for children 12 and under.

"Finding the perfect balance between throwing a big party with quality food trucks, the best local bands and providing a space for the entire family to enjoy was the goal," Paul Manna of 24-7 Entertainment, a veteran local independent concert promoter, said in a statement. "So many of Maryland's most popular events are held in the city. I felt Baltimore County deserved a large-scale event like this that they can call their own."

This year's event showcases some of the region's most-talented tribute bands on two stages. Anchoring the 98 Rock stage is Several Species: The PINK FLOYD Experience, who has headlined large, prestigious Baltimore venues, like Pier Six Pavilion and The Hippodrome Theater. The Washington Post writes: "This 11-piece ensemble will give any Floyd fan the same genuine chills and thrills as the real thing. They masterfully create an amazing audio/visual spectacle with meticulous attention to detail. They truly are as close as you're going to get."

The trip down memory lane continues with 11 other bands convincingly paying tribute to iconic artists, like Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, U2, Talking Heads, The Cure, Grateful Dead, Tom Petty, R.E.M., The Smiths and ELO. Plus, there will be a rockin' tribute to The 90s by Doc Marten and The Flannels.

Boasting more than 30 of Maryland's most-popular food trucks, attendees can expect a wide variety of savory and sweet options, including barbecue, seafood, burgers, vegan options, Jamaican, Greek, cupcakes, ice cream and more.

Charm City favorites are included, like Kooper's Chowhound, Greek on the Street, Wanna Pizza This, Taco Bar plus local businesses, Conrad's Crabs, CVP, Bandito's, Zeke's Coffee and more to be announced.

Attendees can also browse goods from more than 50 local artisans and vendors, check out cool clothes in several fashion trucks and even try their hand at ax throwing.

Since Trifecta's inception in 2016, the response has been overwhelming.

"We serve at all major events in Baltimore. Trifecta is the best food truck event of the year," Rosa Gargano, president of Maryland Mobile Food Truck Association, said in a statement.

98 Rock, WBAL NewsRadio 1090 AM and 101.5 FM and WBAL-TV 11 are the festival's official media and promotional partners.
