STELLA! HV HAWK

Image

Sunday a large tree fell on the Hunt Valley Oregon Ridge Nature Center, damaging the auditorium and the hawk enclosure. Stella, the red-tailed hawk is missing.

Here is a photo of the missing hawk. Also, be advised that the county will be handling the building repairs and, hopefully, they will be replacing the mew as well. Many thanks for the tremendous support today. We'll keep everyone advised of the progress finding Stella and the repairs to the Nature Center.

Many local residents claim to see Stella in the Hunt Valley area.  Stella, Stella!

Irvine Nature Center: We're so sorry to hear of this destruction and missing hawk. From our center to yours, we're sending you good vibes and love. If there is anything we can do to help, don't hesitate to reach out!

Arlene Weiss: Praying you find sweet Stella safe, unharmed, and alright. Please keep us updated Oregon Ridge Nature Center!

Alison DeVoe Tagert:I believe that I saw Stella today. I was amazed by how lowly it landed on the very short tree, and stood still for over 5 minutes. This was in the shallow woods near Royal Farms at Thornton Rd and Joppa Rd.

Shawn Peters:Someone posted this today 4/23 in Cockeysville & Hunt Valley MD group: "spotted it yesterday on Ivy Hill near Beaver Dam Rd."

Stella!
