Save the date- All are welcome at the Greater Timonium Community Council meeting on 11/09/2022 @7 PM in the Vista Room at the Maryland State Fairgrounds. The Mass Transit Administration will discuss building Light Rail tracks down the middle of York Road, as described below:  Can you imagine light rail tracks running on York Road from Towson, north to Lutherville, ending at the terminus of West Ridgely Road ? I cannot, and I hope you would be horrified by this as well. What would automobile traffic look like on York Road in this scenario, with station stops along the way? But that is exactly what the Mass Transit Administration is proposing for two alternative routes in a study to extend transit from the Towson area to Downtown Baltimore. The MTA is proposing seven different routes, altogether, to connect Towson to Baltimore, and they want community feedback about which routes are preferable. There is also a third alternative that has rapid bus service from Ridgely Road to Downtown. We need as many people as possible to come out to voice their feelings about extending this service to north of the Beltway. Please share this with you friends, neighbors and others who want to voice their feelings to the MTA. This will be the only in person feedback session before MTA reduces the seven options down to four alternates. You need to be heard to make an impression
