The Great Maryland Recipe Hunt

Join the Hammond-Harwood House Museum and the Maryland State Archives to preserve local recipes & food memories. The Great Maryland Recipe Hunt is a project to collect and preserve Maryland's delicious and distinctive fare.

The project seeks recipes that are commonly made by Maryland families whether the family's ties to Maryland date back centuries or even just a few years. People have moved to Maryland from all over the world and have brought treasured recipes with them, making Maryland's cuisine diverse and delicious.

The recipe hunt will help preserve our state's foodways for generations to come and help foster regional identity. Then, hunt findings will be interpreted in resources that will be made available to the public reflecting Maryland's ever-increasing diversity and dynamic change over time.
