GIBBS EARNS PLACE ON 2024 SHRINE BOWL
FRISCO, Texas – Towson University defensive lineman Jesus Gibbs has been selected to the 2024 Shrine Bowl 1000 list, being named as one of the top all-star game eligible college football players in the country.
The Shrine Bowl 1000 is a selection of 1,000 collegiate football players, selected and scouted by National Football League (NFL) and college personnel across all four NCAA football levels. These 1,000 are considered the best players in preview for the 2024 NFL Draft and 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl in Texas.

Gibbs will look to be the second-ever player to compete in the upcoming East-West Shrine Bowl. Former Towson standout Tye Smith was the first Towson Tiger to play in the game in 2015, going on to be taken in the fifth round of that year's NFL Draft and playing in 45 career games in the NFL.
Gibbs earned 2022 All-CAA Second Team on defensive line, leading all Towson defensive linemen with 44 tackles and seven quarterback hurries. In 24 games played in his Towson career, Gibbs stands with 69 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss and seven sacks. Last season, Gibbs was selected to the Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List.
The East-West Shrine Bowl is set for Feb. 1, 2024 in Frisco, Texas.
