Historic grist mill transformed into community art, music, workshop space

MONKTON, Md. —A piece of history in northern Baltimore County is becoming a community centerpiece.
Just by looking at the brick building at 2029 Monkton Rd., you might never know the story beneath the surface, but with a quick walk inside and down some stairs, you're standing in history.
Angelo Otterbein and his team suspect Manor Mill was built by people who were enslaved or indentured servants.
"We are in a historic grist mill," said Otterbein, the mill's current owner. "This foundation was built in the mid-1700s. The main part of the mill was built in the early FINISH READING HERE
