Michael E. Mink
January 27, 1957 — January 12, 2024
Michael E. Mink, loving husband of Elizabeth (Beth) Doyle Mink, passed away on January 12 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mike was 66 years old and was born in Baltimore, MD. He was the son of the late Granville (Pete) Mink and Doris Kiser Mink. In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by his devoted children, Joshua Mink and Shelby (Josh) Baynes, and one granddaughter, Claire, whom he adored. He is also survived by his five younger siblings, Sherrie (Larry) Landis, Pamela Davis, Mark Mink, Brenda (John) Gladstone and Nancy (Emanuel) Nunez-Hernandez, also his Uncle Butch and Aunt Barb Kiser, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mike attended North Harford High School, as did his parents and children. He was farming and operating large farm equipment at the age of 17. He later learned the carpentry trade from his Uncle Butch. Mike was a carpenter for over 40 years. He always said that Jesus was also a carpenter. Mike was always learning. If he wanted to know something, he read about it. He attended RETS Electronics School in his 30s. Mike was a jack of all trades and could fix everything; if his wife broke it, he could fix it. Mike loved working outdoors, whether he was building something or working in the yard. He was an excellent gardener and was known for growing hot peppers, especially Habaneros. His final advice to his wife was “Don’t sweat the small sh&*”. Mike touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
