2 Choreographers From Harford County Earn Emmy Nomination

The owners of Rage Box Dance Center in Forest Hill have been nominated for an Emmy. The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held Sept. 14.

Two choreographers who own the Rage Box Dance Center in Forest Hill are the masterminds behind the dance moves in movies such as "Lemonade Mouth, "Teen Beach Movie" and "So You Think You Can Dance." Their creativity has paid off as they've been nominated for an Emmy.

Lance Guillermo and Danielle Sten-Guillermo recently worked on a TV show called "The Big Leap," which is written and created by Liz Heldens who is the creator with Daniel Thomsen for Will Trent, according to WMAR. The pair submitted three dance numbers from two episodes on the hit ABC show Will Trent for the Emmy's, which they've done in the past, but thought nothing of it.

But when Lance Guillermo called his friend to invite him to guest teach at their studio, he congratulated Guillermo on his Emmy nomination.

"And I'm like, wait what? And I was just stuck," he said.

He immediately called Sten-Guillermo, who was floored. The nominations for the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced July 15. The nominations were announced by hosts Harvey Guillén and Brenda Song, livestreamed on Emmys.com and YouTube.

The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on Sept. 14 and broadcast live on CBS. Some awards, like the Creative Arts Emmys, are presented a few days earlier.
