Baltimore County Police Department honored for support of National Guard, Reserve

TOWSON, MD—The Baltimore County Police Department has received the Pro Patria Award for its support of employees who serve in the U.S. military’s National Guard and Reserve.

The award was presented to Police Chief Robert O. McCullough and Officer Brian Eaton, who is an active Sergeant in the Maryland Army National Guard, at a luncheon event in Reisterstown on Saturday.

The Pro Patria Award is the highest level that an employer support group can receive.

The Baltimore County Police Department was honored for their leadership and practices that make it easier for employees to participate in the National Guard and Reserve, which officials say can enhance retention rates in the Armed Forces.

Officer Eaton and Chief McCullough were both previously involved with the Maryland Army National Guard.
