TOWSON – Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski, Jr. announced the release of a final report detailing the actions being taken to make the County an Age-Friendly Community reflecting the growing older adult population and prioritizing their care and quality of life.
The Age-Friendly Baltimore County report highlights Baltimore County’s strategic efforts from 2021 through 2024 to improve key aspects of livability, including housing, transportation, community health services, outdoor spaces, and communication.
“We are committed to fostering an environment where all of our residents can age with dignity, access the care they need, and thrive,” said Olszewski. “This report highlights the important work we are doing in Baltimore County to support our seniors, and we look forward to continuing to meet – and exceed – the evolving needs and priorities of our valued friends, family and neighbors.”
Notable accomplishments include:

By prioritizing inclusivity, we ensure that every resident feels valued and empowered to contribute to our vibrant community."

The Baltimore County Department of Aging held its 37th annual Power of Age Expo on Wednesday, October 30, 204 to educate, engage and inspire older adults in the region. The event attracted over 6,000 people to the Timonium Fairgrounds for resources and entertainment.
