Bel Air Man Threw Milkshake At Employee, Ran Over 2 Staffers Because 'Order Took Too Long': Police

A Bel Air man is in jail after he threw a shake at an Arby's employee and hit 2 others with his camper because his order took too long: PSP.

BEL AIR, MD — A 74-year-old Bel Air man has been charged in the assault of an Arby's employee at a Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania, restaurant because his order took too long, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The suspect also hit two other employees with his camper in the restaurant parking lot when they tried to stop him from leaving, authorities told WHP.

Alan Bollhardt placed an order at the Arby's in the 500 block of Shrewsbury Commons Avenue on Aug. 2, according to charging documents. He had complained about his order taking too long, then threw a milkshake at a female employee's head, police said.

The Arby's employee called 911 when Bollhardt refused to leave. When the employee and another worker stood behind his camper to try and prevent Bollhardt from leaving as they waited for police, the report said he backed up and hit both employees, the York Dispatch reported.

The male employee was knocked to the ground while the female employee was dragged about 100 feet before she let go of the camper, Pennsylvania state troopers reported.

When authorities spoke to Bollhardt the next day he admitted to throwing the milkshake at the employee and leaving, but said he was only moving at around 5 mph when he noticed the worker was being dragged, according to WGAL.

He told police he didn't call 911, because he "did nothing wrong," charging documents said.

Bollhardt has been charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault by vehicle, two misdemeanor counts of simple assault, two misdemeanor counts of recklessly endangering another person, two misdemeanor counts of accidents involving injury, and multiple summary traffic offenses, police said.
