Sam’s Club Just Launched 4 McCormick Copycats—and They’re So Much Cheaper

"It’s the best taco seasoning I’ve used!"

When it’s time to stock up on groceries, there’s no better place to go than Sam’s Club. The warehouse has all the best finds to keep our kitchens filled, including restaurant-style chicken nuggets, air fryer-friendly snacks, and decadent desserts.

And while it’s no secret that shoppers sprint to the store for the newest prepared meals and bakery finds, Sam’s Club is also a great place to stock up on everyday staples, such as baking supplies, tomato sauce, and spices.

Recently, members noticed a group of new seasoning blends on shelves, and fans are already giving them rave reviews.

Sam's Club Adds New Member’s Mark Dry Seasoning Blends

Sam’s Club just launched four dry seasoning options that shoppers can’t wait to try. Member’s Mark Italian-Style Seasoning, Taco Seasoning, Lemon Pepper Seasoning, and Garlic Pepper Seasoning are rolling out to stores. The containers vary slightly in size, but, on average, each costs around 30 cents per ounce.

Members say it’s a good deal compared to McCormick’s bulk-sized spices, most of which are priced at more than $10 per container at other stores. This Sam's Club lineup starts at $6.88. At Costco, McCormick Lemon & Pepper Seasoning costs 39 cents per ounce, whereas the Sam’s Club version is priced at 25 cents per ounce—a savings that can really add up.

Here’s a closer look at each flavor:

  • Italian-Style Seasoning: Perfect for baked ziti, pizza, and rustic chicken, this seasoning blend can do it all. It includes oregano, thyme, basil, rosemary, and sage. Unlike the others, Member's Mark Italian-Style Seasoning is salt-free.
  • Taco Seasoning: If you buy bulk-size taco seasoning instead of packets, you’ll want to give this product a try. Member’s Mark Taco Seasoning includes chili peppers, Mexican oregano, garlic salt, and cayenne pepper for a hint of spice. It pairs well with beef, chicken, and pork. Plus, it can be used as a flavorful addition to taco soup.
  • Lemon Pepper Seasoning: This lemon pepper seasoning includes salt, black pepper, dried onion, and dried lemon peel for a true-to-its-name flavor. Additionally, it includes citric acid, which recreates the bright zing of fresh lemon. Use it on poultry and fish, or sprinkle it over veggies to liven them up. Pro tip: Melt a stick of butter and whisk in a tablespoon of this seasoning to make a zesty chicken wing sauce that rivals your favorite restaurant.
  • Garlic Pepper Seasoning: This blend pairs well with steak, burgers, and other hearty dishes. It includes bold flavors such as brown sugar, onion, red bell pepper, and garlic oil.

Now, on to the most important question: How do they taste? You’ll be happy to know that fans are already giving these Member’s Mark seasoning blends high praise on social media.

"My personal opinion is it’s the best taco seasoning I’ve used! It’s really seasoned but not salty. And I didn’t even use much! I love it! Must try!" said one approving fan.

"Tried the Garlic Pepper [seasoning]. It was very good! Put it on our grilled onions and bell peppers for a Philly cheesesteak," another wrote.

"Getting them all," added one more excited user.

And if you’re interested in this lineup but unsure about the size, don’t worry. As long as the blends are stored correctly, they will stay fresh. So next time you need to refill your spice jars, be sure to stop by Sam’s Club to try one (or all!) of these flavorful shortcuts.
